As promised in its July 26 press release, and 5 days earlier than planned, Artprice has today (08/29/2017) opened Version 2 of its revolutionary search engine Artprice Search®, immediately accessible on www.artprice.com
The initial results are very positive… better than Artprice expected in fact: on more than 323 searches, of which 36% are ‘structured' (i.e. several words, or a whole sentence), 98.80% of clients are satisfied.
Initial V2 results suggest a very considerable positive impact on our sales (see Artprice's Actusnews press release of 26 July 2017). Already in July of 2017, the beta version (V1) of this search engine triggered a 34% increase in sales.
Version 2 of Artprice Search – directly accessible from the Artprice homepage – is a veritable ‘killer app' in the cosy world of the Art Market where Artprice has been the undisputed leader in Art Market information for the past 20 years.
thierry Ehrmann: “after 20 years of collaboration, our R&D and our IT and Marketing teams have an extraordinary capacity and passion for top-level innovation. Every year Artprice invests 80% of its resources in R&D. Artprice is certified an ‘innovate company' by France's BPI (Banque Publique d'Investissement). Very few companies listed on regulated markets over the last two decades can boast this kind of alchemy”.
All of Artprice's IT infrastructures and white rooms on three continents (North America, Europe and Asia), have switched without the slightest problem, generating an 80% acceleration in page displays from its databanks containing hundreds of millions of hi-res photos and texts, enhancing client comfort, particularly on mobile internet (90% of Artprice searches).
The second version (V2) consults hundreds of internal and external resources. Its access from our homepage obeys Artprice's marketing rule that Artprice Search® should be directly accessible without any further clicks.
Today Artprice has opened a new universe of Art Market information and, for Artprice, this tool represents a perfectly legal and insuperable barrier-to-entry for its competitors.
The third version (V3) is already being developed and should be deployed at the end of September. It prefigures our Blockchain and OTC Market© (Artprice protected). For more information see our latest press releases.
According to thierry Ehrmann, Artprice and its databanks are now equipped with a proprietary search engine that captures a wider audience by efficiently processing almost any input language. Artprice users will now get intuitive search results in spite of input errors regarding the artist's name, the work, the media, or any other market-based criteria...
After months of internal R&D, this new search engine will allow an arithmetic boost to Artprice's audience numbers on five continents much in the same way that similar improvements have substantially boosted the reach and revenue of internet majors like Amazon, Airbnb and of course Google. These groups have experienced massive audience increases by ensuring that spelling and syntax no longer represent an insurmountable barrier.
Obviously the Art world, from the amateur to the professional, wants efficient intuitive search results. There is nothing more frustrating than failing to obtain information on an artist or his/her work because of a spelling or syntax error. Most searches involve proper names and/or artwork titles in more than 90 languages. Our search engine satisfies a fundamental requirement in the art market that no-one has so far responded to. It is what some would call “a killer application”.
As world leader in Art Market information, Artprice is a BPI-certified “Innovative Company” investing 80% of its annual resources in R&D.
Artprice can therefore exploit its billions of users' connections in strict compliance with laws in the USA and Europe (including French domestic law) to enrich highly sophisticated searches involving thousands of names, a hundred or so languages and more than 120 million artwork titles that Artprice already has in its databanks.
Deployed in beta-testing yesterday, our initial analysis of the results on real-time searches was very positive indeed.
Last month, a complex query involving successive “input errors” yielded fewer than ten results. Today, the same search would generate several thousands of responses on Artprice.
Artprice's R&D has found a way to integrate all keyword issues and combinations in order to satisfy the user by significantly increasing the number of highly relevant results.
To achieve this, Artprice has set up a multiple-server infrastructure exclusively dedicated to its home-built search engine, all based on IPR protected proprietary programming and arborescence.
A Version 2 will be deployed late August to coincide with the Art Market's autumn reopening. This version will provide results not just from the several billion search combinations on Artprice databanks, but also from a number of external resources (e.g. academic research, state documentation, etc.) and future internal R&D resources – Artprice Blockchain and OTC Artmarket ®.

The text presented hereafter is a translation of Arte Creative's online presentation: ARTE: A gigantic Christmas tree in the guise of a butt plug, a machine that defecates five-star meals, an icon immersed in urine and staged corpses – subversive, trash, provocative or insulting? Thierry Ehrmann, the man behind The Abode of Chaos dixit "The New York Times", an artist and the founder of Artprice, is the mouthpiece for scandal and discloses the workings of the most striking controversies in contemporary art.
