Figeac Aéro Group (mnemonic code: FGA), a leading partner of major aeronautics companies, has announced its acquisition of PECISS, an industrial technology services company based in Tunisia, and the expansion of the latter's manufacturing site near Tunis.
Thanks to its acquisition of PECISS, which has ten employees, FIGEAC AÉRO has equipped itself with additional engineering resources that optimise machining processes, which are key to its growth and contribute to its operational excellence.
The acquisition of this skill set, which will benefit all of the Group's sites, will enable FIGEAC AÉRO to maintain and increase its competitiveness to better serve its customers around the world.
The takeover confirms FIGEAC AÉRO'S intention to pursue its development strategy via a high growth rate to become the leading European aeronautics subcontractor and a world leader in the field.
In addition, in order to consolidate its position as the partner of choice, FIGEAC AÉRO has acquired another 30,000 sq.m. for its Tunisian production site to start up hard metals machining and non-destructive testing to reduce its production cycles and costs.
The site is located in Fouchana, in metropolitan Tunis. It provides FIGEAC AÉRO with decisive production capacity in its "best cost" zone and will make a positive contribution to the Group's EBITDA.
FIGEAC AÉRO'S objective for Tunisia is to employ 500 people by 2020, a third of the Group's overall "best cost" zone workforce.
