Lyon, 18 October 2011
The president of Greater Lyon announced on 17 October 2011 that the Commissaires Enquêteurs (investigators) had rendered favourable opinions at the conclusion of eight (out of a total of nine) public comment periods.
The remaining opinion relates to the public comment period prior to delivery of a construction permit. It should be rendered in the very near future, and OL Groupe will announce it at that time.
The opinions rendered related to:
- The revised land use plan - Project sponsor: Greater Lyon
- Access
- North access - Project sponsor: Greater Lyon
- South access - Project sponsor: Greater Lyon
- "Les Panettes" car park - Project sponsor: Greater Lyon
- The plan to extend the T3 tram line - Project sponsor: Sytral
- The plan to improve access from junction 7 of the RN 346 ringroad - Project sponsor: French State
- Request for authorisation under the "water law"
- Montout watershed - Ruffinières watershed - Project sponsor: Greater Lyon
- New stadium project and related operations - Project sponsor: Foncière du Montout
The public comment periods, which ran from 14 June to 18 July, constituted an opportunity for valuable dialogue with the residents of Greater Lyon and enabled them to express their views on the project as a whole.
The favourable opinions rendered by the Commissaires Enquêteurs mark a crucial milestone in the "Stade des Lumières" project and will enable all of the partners (French State, Rhône General Council, Greater Lyon, Sytral - the Greater Lyon transport union, the town of Décines and Olympique Lyonnais) to pursue this exemplary project. The delivery date is set for the second quarter of 2014.
