Steria Mummert Consulting has won EconGas’s “CAP 2011” — Calculation/ Accounting/Planning — tender. The GAS-X Sales solution, newly developed during the project, allows wholesale distribution and billing processes to be combined. This can also benefit other clients.
Steria Mummert Consulting will implement the planned strategy for expanding its offering in wholesale by partnering with a large European-oriented pilot client. “GAS-X Sales offers gas distributors a new, integrated solution for contract management, quote calculation, planning and invoicing,” says Alp Kösesoy, Senior Executive Manager at Steria Mummert Consulting. “The project can serve as a reference for the Austrian, German and European gas distribution market.”
The architecture of the EconGas solution allows for the use of three GAS-X modules: GAS-X Sales for calculation and planning processes, GAS-X Billing for invoicing management, and the integration system GAS-X APM based on the inubit BPM Suite for service-oriented process and workflow management. Steria Mummert Consulting will implement the calculation, invoicing and planning processes in two phases for all EconGas locations.
“EconGas’s stated goal is to use GAS-X to create a central, integrated system for the company’s core distribution processes. The solution will form the basis for existing distribution areas and for systematic adaptation to future target markets,” is how Sascha Dobritzhofer explains the system’s significance. Dobritzhofer is an EconGas Key Account Manager for industrial customers and assistant project leader for sales.
