Olympique Lyonnais has transferred Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic to Italian club AS Roma for €11 million, thereby realising a significant capital gain in the first half of the 2011-12 FINANCIAL year.
His departure is Olympique Lyonnais' second transfer during the summer trading window after that of French international Jeremy Toulalan, who was transferred to Malaga at the end of June 2011 for €10 million. This amount may be increased by up to €3 million depending on the performance of the Spanish club.
Separately, the promising young players Loïc Abenzoar, Mathieu Gorgelin, Enzo Reale and Harry Novillo were loaned to Vannes, Red Star, Boulogne and Le Havre, respectively, for the 2011-12 season.
