Store Electronic Systems (SES) has been selected to equip 45 Supermercati Decò stores with its electronic shelf labelling solution. The agreement amounts to a total of some 200 000 shelf labels as well as the related fixing and infrastructure components, to be installed in 2011.
The Multicedi group first equipped five of its cash & carry stores in 2008 with a competing system. In 2010 the group ran pilots in three supermarkets with three different providers, before deciding to rollout the SES solution in its supermarkets.
“Competition was fierce but the project TEAM unanimously recommended SES”, says Claudio Palmolungo, VP Sales EMEA for SES. “We were impressed with how professional the Multicedi teams were during the pilot phase; each store manager was assigned part time to all three stores, and a consumer study was performed each time.”
