Land use plan approved by the Greater Lyon Community Council

On 17 October 2011, the investigating committees (commissions d'enquêtes) for the revised land use plan, the North access, the South access, the "Panettes" car park, the plan to extend the T3 tram line, the plan to improve access from junction 7 and the request for authorisation under the "water law" all rendered favourable opinions.
On 7 December 2011, the investigating committee for the construction permit also rendered a favourable opinion.
The Greater Lyon Community Council met on 12 December 2011 and approved the revised land use plan. This decision constitutes a crucial step in obtaining a construction permit.
The favourable opinions rendered by the investigators and the vote to amend the land use plan mark an important milestone in the "Stade des Lumières" new stadium project, which will enable all of the partners (French State, Rhône General Council, Greater Lyon, Sytral - the Greater Lyon transport union, the town of Décines and Olympique Lyonnais) to pursue this exemplary project in line with the announced schedule. The delivery date is set for the 2ndquarter of 2014.
