Deutsche Telekom's upgraded Speedport W723V Type A home gateway is one of the first HGWs to receive CAT-iq 2.0 certification from the DECT Forum. Enabling HD-voice quality across a range of handsets, the home gateway provides subscribers with "true-to-life" sound, while opening the door to a host of value-added multi-line, multi-handset services.
Already used by Deutsche Telekom subscribers, the home gateway's voice service is based on the company's digital cordless chipset reference design and powered by DSP Group's XceedR™ family of market-leading chipset solutions. The reference design enables development of a low-cost, small form-factor module that can be integrated into diverse broadband residential gateways including internet access devices (IADs), cable embedded multimedia terminal adapters (EMTAs), and IP office PBXs. Based on DSP Group's single-chip architecture, the reference design reduces development risk, minimizes R&D costs, and lowers time to market, while guaranteeing CAT-iq support.
