HOMAIR Vacances is pleased to announce that the acquisition of the THOMSON AL FRESCO assets by HOMAIR Vacances from TUI Travel PLC is now complete as of today, since all condition precedents have been met.
This transaction enables HOMAIR Vacances to own 1,071 additional mobile homes located in 45 prime southern European campsites (France; Italy; Spain and Croatia). In terms of client reach, HOMAIR Vacances will also benefit from a direct and local channel to the UK market, built through the expertise of the THOMSON AL FRESCO team. While being a very strong and profitable performer, this new division generates margins at a currently lower level compared to the HOMAIR pre-deal perimeter.
Its inclusion in the Group comforts the 2011 objectives of consolidated sales and ebitda growth above 20%.
To recognise their different client target groups, both HOMAIR Vacances and THOMSON AL FRESCO brands will be maintained separately.
